Hello, Again!

For years now, “start blog again” has sit on my new year resolution that inevitably gets ignored. This year, I feel a certain fire underneath me to actually adhere to this resolution. Perhaps it’s the midlife crisis of turning 40, or perhaps the twins are finally functional little humans that allow me time to breathe again.

Either way, I want to come back to this space, where I’ve documented life from my early 20s. It’s a space that I’ve returned to repeatedly to share life lessons along the way, to think through ideas, and to plot the next great adventure. Motherhood put a long pause, but I am ready to reclaim this part of myself.

I’ve been thinking of what direction to take this blog. So much has changed over the last five years. AI wasn’t yet a thing and people still read travel blogs for tips. Now, there is a plethora of AI tools to help plan the perfect vacation.

Yet, I find authenticity is what lacks in the midst of abundant AI slop. Perhaps people still crave real voices, true stories of trials and tribulations, and knowing there is an individual out there, on a similar path, navigating through the real life.

When the twins were born, I decided to minimize their appearance in public. Our social media posts that involve them are mostly private. I struggle to think through ways to discuss my life as a mother without using their experiences as content, so I simply haven’t done much. I still don’t have the exact answer, but by now, I do have my own voice as a mother to share.

Wild as it may be, the question of schooling is already on the top of mind. Weren’t they just born?? And true to form, I don’t like anything conventional, so I’ve been digging into understanding education and learning. This is a fascinating area that I wish to explore through my writing.

The TLDR is that this new chapter of writing will be on navigating motherhood, raising multicultural, trilingual twin boys, our adventures in the world as a family, and shaping the twins’ education.

I’ve spent the last few weeks tinkling with a redesign, feeling overwhelmed, and wanting to give up before I even began. I’m glad to have gotten this first post out here to kickstart my writing in 2026! This year, it’s all about progress over perfection, action over inaction. Taking that first step is half the battle. All the clichés are somehow true.

In any case, I’m excited to put this intention to write more out into the world. Thanks for sticking around if you are a long time reader. If you are new, welcome! Feel free to let me know in the comments if there are any topics you’d like me to write about! Hope this first month of the year has been a good beginning for you!
